Use up that peach purée or those frozen peaches you have taking up space in your freezer, make yourself some peach simple syrup and whip these up for your next pool party. This is a popular refreshment with both kids and adults. You can even substitute the water with whey for an added nutritional boost, too.
iBuen provecho!
Frozen Peach Lemonade
Ingredients
- 2 tbsp lemon juice
- ½ cup peach purée or frozen peaches
- ½ cup water
- 1 tbsp peach simple syrup
- ¼ cup turbinado cane sugar
- 1 frozen peach slice
Optional:
- 2 oz peach vodka
Instructions
- Blend peach purée (or frozen peaches), lemon juice, water and peach simple syrup (add optional vodka here).
- Taste for desired sweetness. If you use frozen peaches, you may choose to add a little more simple syrup as the purée already contains sugar.
- In a shallow dish or bowl, add turbinado cane sugar and, using a grater, grate one frozen peach slice. Stir to disperse peach evenly.
- Wet the rim of the glass and dip the wet rim into the peach-infused sugar to coat. Pour in the frozen peach lemonade and garnish with a peach.
Notes
How to include your child(ren): Tune those fine motor skills by letting them add the ingredients to a blender and pouring the frozen peach lemonade, from the blender, into a cup. Pouring is a skill that takes practice to master, and they will feel so proud when they do. Older chef(s) should be able to complete this recipe on their own, helping to build their self-confidence by making and serving something they made themself!
